Week 30 Day 7
our life is such a mixture
of good news and bad news
the bad news seems to dominate
the good news seems like a footnote
we are conditioned to anticipate the awful
we are trained to contemplate the terrible
we are ready to look for it
we are prepared to hear it
but the scripture give us another perspective
it tells us there is good news
not that the good has arrived totally
not that heaven is already here
but that the process has begun
and that which is to be is on the way
how simple are the words
how profound their meaning
"the spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to bring good tidings to the afflicted. . .
to bind up the brokenhearted. . .
to proclaim liberty to the captives. . .
to comfort all who mourn. . ."
in the midst of the bad news there is
the good news that is breaking in
the healing that is taking place
the freedom that is opening up
the comfort that is coming forth

GOD IS STILL CREATING
Heaven is a place where everyone has a happy face.
Isaiah 61, 65 & 66
1"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; He has anointed me
To preach good tidings to the poor; to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives and to those who are bound,
2To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
To comfort all who mourn, 3to console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
17"Behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
The former shall not be remembered or come to mind.
18Be glad and rejoice forever in what I create;
Behold, I create Jerusalem as a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19 I will rejoice in Jerusalem and joy in My people,
The voice of weeping shall no longer be heard in her.
20"No more shall an infant live but a few days,
Nor an old man who has not fulfilled his days;
For the child shall die one hundred years old,
But the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed.
22They shall not build and another inhabit; plant and another eat.
As the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people,
And My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth children for trouble;
For they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the Lord.
24"It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer.
While they are still speaking, I will hear.
25The wolf and the lamb shall feed together;
The lion shall eat straw like the ox. They shall not hurt
Nor destroy in all My holy mountain," says the Lord.
18"I will gather all nations and tongues; they shall
come and see My glory. 19They shall declare My glory
among the Gentiles. 20They shall bring all your brethren
for an offering to the Lord out of all nations, on horses
and in chariots and in litters, on mules and on camels,
to My holy mountain Jerusalem. 21 I will also take
some of them for priests and Levites," says the Lord.
22"As the new heavens remain before Me, so shall your
descendants and your name remain. 23 It shall come to pass
that all flesh shall come to worship before Me," says the Lord.
